According to the latest circular released by the CBSE there will be no Problem Solving Assesment (PSA) from the session of 2015-16. Schools are instructed to advised to conduct FA4 for the students instead of PSA. In the circular word "Board has decided to do away with the conduct of PSA (Problem Solving Assessment) in classes IX & XI from the session 2015-16."

The PSA test has been introduced by the CBSE from the session of 2012-13 which assessed students on their ability to solve application-based problems. But this assessment has been criticized because of the difficulty level of the questions. The marks of PSA were added in Class X and XII Board results which were also a reason for the low CGPA of students. PSA was conducted for the class IX and XI however if students wanted to improve their then they can opt for another exam in Class X and XII respectively.

So, now students can sit relax and focus on the Summative Assessment 2 for getting better marks. You can find all the important resources for the exam at our site Studyrankers.
