UPSC is going to take examination of NDA and NA II 2016. Know about eligibility, important dates, application process and Exam Pattern and Syllabus
NDA and NA II exam will be held for admission to the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force wings of the NDA for the 138th Course, and for the 100th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd July, 2017. The candidates may apply till 15th July 2017.
The written examination will held on 18th Septemeber 2016.

1. National Defence Academy: 355 Posts
For General and OBC candidates ₹100 is applicable while Candidates form SC/ST candidates/Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from payment of fee. The candidates can pay fee either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

Qualifications or Eligibility
(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy:12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy:12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.
Age Limit
Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd January, 1998 and not later than 1st January, 2001 are eligible.
Selection procedure
Based on Written examination and SSB test and Interview.

The candidates need to apply online through Official UPSC Portal www.upsconline.nic.inon or before 15/07/2016. Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above-mentioned website.
The candidates can choose and of these exam centres while filling up the application form.

Exam pattern
The total marks of exam will be 1800. The written exam will consist 900 marks while SSB Test/Interview consist 900 marks. There will be only objective questions in written exam. Candidates should note that there will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
