Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to conduct Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination. The registration will start from 8th October 2016 and will end on 7th November 2016.

Qualification or Eligibility

Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

Age Limit: Minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 27 years as on 01.01.2017 (Candidates born not before 02-01-1990 and not later than 01-01-1999). Age relaxation provided to certain categories as per the government rules.

Selection Procedure

There are three steps to select candidates:

  • 1st Step: Tier-1 Written Exam (Objective Type) (200 Marks) (Online Mode)
  • 2nd Step: Tier-2 Written Exam (Descriptive Type) (100 Marks) (Offline Mode)
  • 3rd Step: Tier-3 Skill Test / Typing Test (candidates who qualify the tier-2 exam will be called for Skill Test / Typing Test)
In case where more than one candidate secure the equal aggregates marks, tie will be resolved by applying the following methods one after another:-
i) Marks in first part of the written examination. 
ii) Date of birth, with older candidates placed higher. 
iii) Alphabetical order in which first names of the candidates appear.

Application Fee

The candidates can submit their application fee either through SBI Challan or Online mode.

• Application Fee thru SBI Challan or Online mode: Candidates have to pay fee of Rs. 100, candidates can pay application fee thru challan at any SBI branch or have to pay fee of Rs. 100, candidates can pay application fee thru net banking and any credit/debit cards. (SC/ ST/ Female / PH category candidates are exempted from fees).

How To Apply

The candidates need to apply online. The application form has two parts i.e. “Registration Part” and “Apply Part”. The candidates have to fill personal and education details in the “Registration Part”.
The candidates need to pay application fee and, upload scanned photograph and signature in the "Apply Part".
