New India Assurance Administrative Officers Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2016| Details of Exam Pattern and Syllabus are given below

The New India Assurance Company Limited wholly owned by the Government of India will conduct an open market Written exam for recruitment of Officers in Scale I cadre.

Exam Pattern

1. Preliminary Examination
2. Mains Exam (Objective Paper & Descriptive paper)
3. Interview

Preliminary Examination

1. Written Exam will be Multiple Choice Objective Type of 100 Marks.
2. The Duration of Test is 01:00 Hour (60Minutes).
3. There will be negative marks for wrong answer, 1/4th of the allotted marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Mains Exam

Objective Test - The Objective Test of 2 hours duration consists of 4 sections as follows.

1. Written Exam will be Multiple choice Question of 200 Marks.
2. The Time Duration of the test is 2 Hours (120 Min.).
3. There will be negative marks for wrong answer, 1/4th of the allotted marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Descriptive Exam 
There will be a online descriptive exam of English Language.The Time Duration Of This exam is 30 Min. of 30 Marks as follows:

Note : Both Exams will be online mode. Candidate will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. After Completion the objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered immediately. The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through on-line mode.

Syllabus

(a).Reasoning
Questions will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning.

(b).English language
Verb, preposition, adverb, subject verb agreement, Error Correction/ recognition, tenses, sentences rearrangement, fill in the blanks with articles etc., comprehension, answering questions based on unseen passage, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms usage, vocabulary & grammar, Proficiency in the language.

(c).General Awareness
Questions will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around it and its application to its society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and such matters of every day observation and experience as may be expected of any educated persons. The test will also include the questions relating to India and its neighboring countries pertaining to history, culture. geography, economics, general polity, scientific research etc.

(d).Quantitative Aptitude
Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date Interpretation is the section which have to be focused.
